IFA 2026, the Berlin consumer electronics trade show, ran from September 4 to 8 under the theme “The Future Is Here.” Around 1,000 Chinese companies participated, including Haier, Hisense, Xiaomi and Xuanji Dynamics.

As industries worldwide grapple with labor shortages driven by aging populations and widening staffing gaps in hazardous jobs, Shenzhen-based embodied intelligence robotics company Xuanji Dynamics made its IFA debut with a major win. Its industrial-grade, heavy-duty Hypertron-T01 quadruped robot took the “Best in IFA Next & Emerging Technologies” prize at the IFA 2026 Innovation Awards. The company also presented replicable products and solutions already deployed in real-world settings such as power-grid inspection, emergency firefighting and smart industrial parks, offering a scalable Chinese approach to the global labor shortage.

In-House Chinese Technology Supports the Shift From Demonstrations to Real-World Work

Robots emerged as a major category of next-generation consumer electronics among the roughly 1,900 exhibitors at this year’s IFA. While many new products remained demonstrations, Shenzhen-based embodied intelligence robotics company Xuanji Dynamics stood apart: instead of a concept, it showcased quadruped robots already working in frontline operations.

According to the company, its flagship Hypertron-T01 can carry a maximum dynamic load of 80 kilograms. It limits heat buildup and performance degradation under heavy loads while navigating steep slopes, loose rocks, slippery surfaces and other difficult terrain, addressing a central problem in specialized industrial applications: robots fast enough to move but unable to carry heavy loads, or strong enough to carry them but unstable in motion. To meet varying operational requirements, Xuanji Dynamics has built a two-model portfolio combining light- and heavy-duty systems with complementary use cases, allowing customers to choose according to the scenario.

These capabilities rest on Xuanji Dynamics’ extensive in-house development of core components. It is one of the few companies in the sector to independently handle the full axial-flux motor chain, from design and process development to mass production. The company has adapted a technology previously used mainly in aerospace and premium automobiles for quadruped robots, delivering greater torque and power density within the same volume. Its proprietary axial-flux motor reaches peak torque of 600 N·m and torque density of 240 N·m/kg, placing the technology in the global * tier.

Drawing on its proprietary powertrain and integrated joint modules, Xuanji Dynamics develops more than 90% of its core components in-house. Its motors, joint modules and complete robot control systems are independently controlled, creating an integrated loop spanning R&D, robot manufacturing and volume delivery. Industry analysts say this control over critical components gives Chinese hard-tech companies the confidence to move beyond exporting products toward exporting technical standards.

Addressing the Global Labor Shortage: Large-Scale Validation Across Three Use Cases

The attention surrounding Xuanji Dynamics’ award-winning product and solutions reflects their response to a challenge shared by industries worldwide. Europe faces worsening labor shortages and population aging, with growing staffing gaps in hazardous positions, overnight inspection work and repetitive jobs. Energy-transition targets are raising power systems’ requirements for equipment reliability and inspection efficiency. In public safety, reducing risks to frontline rescuers has become a common priority across countries.

Xuanji Dynamics provides products and solutions for three sectors: power and energy, emergency firefighting, and smart industrial parks. The company said its Hypertron products are already operating routinely at substations run by leading Chinese power-grid customers, where they have demonstrated stable, continuous, unattended operation over extended periods. This has produced a “global solution,” validated in some of China’s most demanding operating environments and ready to be replicated at scale overseas.

From Selling Products to Building an Ecosystem: An Open SDK Offers a New Route Into Europe

No single company can bring industrial-grade robots into large-scale deployment on its own. Xuanji Dynamics has opened core SDK interfaces covering motion control, sensor data and device management, aiming to shorten the development cycle for vertical-use-case solutions from six months to just a few months. The initiative is designed to help European integrators, solution providers and developers quickly build solutions tailored to local conditions and jointly expand the boundaries of industrial applications.

A Xuanji Dynamics representative said at IFA: “Industrial-grade quadruped robots are moving from demonstrable to practical, and from isolated pilot projects to large-scale adoption. The real ceiling for their commercialization depends on whether they can work reliably in real-world environments, be deployed at scale, and use an open ecosystem to build out robust industry solutions. We have brought not just robots, but a replicable and scalable technology system and a global deployment model validated in real-world settings.”

Industry observers say that as Physical AI moves more rapidly into the physical world, Xuanji Dynamics is using robust products as its foundation and an open ecosystem as its route to market, offering China’s robotics industry a useful model for expanding overseas while addressing global labor shortages.
