On September 3, Alibaba’s agentic coding platform Qoder announced a glasses-based application and opened targeted testing. The product is expected to initially support Qwen AI Glasses and Rokid AI Glasses, with the full feature set slated for release at the 2026 Yunqi Conference.

The Qoder Qwen AI Glasses Edition currently supports only Qoder CN accounts and is not yet available to Global accounts.

Full-Duplex Voice Interaction

Unlike the single-turn question-and-answer model used by traditional voice assistants, the Qoder Glasses Edition uses full-duplex voice interaction. Users can issue tasks, ask for progress updates, or add requirements by voice, and interrupt or adjust instructions while tasks are running.

When a task involves high-risk operations, pending confirmations, or critical decision points, the system can alert the user through the glasses. Users can confirm by voice or by touching the temples. The system also uses voice prompts and notifications to report task completion, exceptions, and progress updates.

Capturing Real-World Context Through the Camera

The Qoder Glasses Edition can also use the glasses’ camera at the user’s request to capture code errors, device status, whiteboard sketches, or screen information, and use the visual content as task context.

For example, when debugging equipment, users can photograph error messages and the status of device indicator lights through the glasses. Qoder can then analyze the information and offer troubleshooting suggestions. Actual recognition accuracy, processing speed, and the range of supported devices will require further validation after the official release.

Coordination With Desktop and Mobile Apps

Under the product roadmap, the Qoder Glasses Edition will eventually work alongside the desktop and mobile apps. The desktop app will primarily handle project understanding and complex task execution, the mobile app will enable users to remotely view and manage tasks, and the glasses will capture first-person information and provide instant interaction.

According to Qoder’s official documentation, the Qwen AI Glasses Edition is expected to launch at the Yunqi Conference in September 2026. The product is currently in targeted testing, and its release date, supported features, and device compatibility will be subject to the official launch information.
