Compute contracts, Kimi financing and domestic chip tools lead China AI compute day
China’s AI compute news centered on large compute-service contracts, foundation-model financing and deployment, domestic semiconductor equipment, and power/data-center infrastructure tied to AI workloads.
• Xingyun Technology said its wholly owned subsidiary Shenzhen Xingyun signed a supplemental compute service agreement with Customer VB, raising the total service fee to 3.0528 billion yuan after doubling computing power service units from 128 to 256.
• Yitian Intelligent said its wholly owned subsidiary Gansu Yisuan Intelligent Technology signed a 1.106436 billion yuan computing power resource service contract with Customer Y for a 60-month term.
• Moonshot AI’s Kimi completed more than $3.5 billion in Series F financing at a $35 billion post-money valuation, while reports said its Series G pre-IPO round has already started ahead of schedule.
• Moonshot AI open-sourced the 2.8 trillion-parameter Kimi K3 model, and Moore Threads announced Day-0 support for Kimi K3 on its MTT S5000 AI training-and-inference accelerator card and MUSA software stack.
• Yuwei Semiconductor shipped its self-developed Raptor-600 mask pattern defect inspection system, described as China’s first tool fully covering 90nm to 28nm process nodes, to a leading domestic wafer fab.
• China State Construction won a 2.59 billion yuan Shenzhen City AI Data Center construction project in Tuoli County, Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang.
• Gansu Energy said Phase II of the Qingyang East Data West Computing Industrial Park green power aggregation pilot project, a 1 GW new energy project, received approval from the Qingyang Energy Bureau.
• Yongding’s controlling subsidiary received about 1.133 billion yuan in high-power laser chip purchase orders, while Huachen Xinguang raised more than 100 million yuan to strengthen reliability testing for mass-produced high-end optical chips.
