China model operators expand deployment as compute financing and infrastructure practices advance

Chinese AI firms highlighted new model infrastructure, application deployments and safety tooling, while a pharmaceutical company entered the capital-intensive computing-power market through a large contract supported by financing.

• A long-established pharmaceutical company signed a computing-power contract worth more than 1 billion yuan, with the business requiring shareholder loans and financing from financial institutions alongside internal funds.

• Zhipu’s GLM team disclosed an engineering practice in which an Infra Agent powered by GLM-5.3 designed, debugged and optimized the inference infrastructure for GLM-5.3-Flash on a cluster containing more than 100,000 domestic chips.

• Moonshot AI launched a Kimi financial-sector solution covering more than 10 data sources, nine financial skills and five compliance and security measures, with initial deployments at ICBC, CSC Financial and other institutions.

• Ant open-sourced SingProbe, a large-model safety guardrail adapted to 29 open-source models, while Kimi Open Platform upgraded its web-search feature.

• Doubao Phone Assistant supports GUI operations for system apps, ZTE apps, ByteDance apps and some third-party apps that have integrated with the service; its screen-automation protocol entered a public consultation period running through Oct. 15.

• China released three practice guidelines for electronic-product information erasure, including standards for semiconductor storage media and mobile smart terminals, to support implementation of the mandatory national standard GB 46864-2025.
