Alibaba’s Jiang Guanjun on Qwen’s Personal AI Agent Framework: Models, Memory and Ecosystems Must Advance Together
IT Home reported on October 25 that Jiang Guanjun, head of AI algorithms at Alibaba’s Qwen division, shared Qwen’s technical work on personal AI agents at the 2026 China National Computer Congress on October 22. In his view, truly personal agents should create incremental value and deliver personalized, proactive services. Models, memory and ecosystems are the three elements that jointly underpin these capabilities. Jiang divided the development of AI applications into three stages: conversation, agents and assistants. AI applications are now moving rapidly toward the assistant stage.
